It’s Summer CHA time again!

It’s that very exciting time of the year when the CHA Summer Convention & Trade Show is well under way in the village of Rosemont, Illinois, USA – and you know what that means, new product releases from all our fave manufacturers! Yay!

I simply adore this time of year. I look forward to checking my emails every single morning because I know there’ll be exciting ‘sneak peaks’ from most of my favourite companies, giving me a taste of what to expect on the shelves of my local craft stores in the next few months. It’s always such an exciting time of year as these new releases are largely where we draw our inspiration for the magazine from in the following months. It gives all of us here at SBM new food for thought and project ideas to incorporate into the magazine. However, as much as I love the new releases, the part I enjoy most is the way companies build hype by releasing these small titbits and sample images on their blogs and websites. Rather than give it all away at once, they tease us with these snippets of what is to come. I always wait with anticipation for the sample products to arrive at the office so we can see exactly what each collection has to offer. In the past few weeks I’ve seen many soon-to-be-released products that have taken my fancy, but there are always 'sneak peaks' that stand out from the rest. With this in mind I thought I’d share with you a few of my favourite snippets from the show so far ….
