17th-century Dutch Masters' Technique

The Dutch were considered by far the ‘masters’ at creating depth and interest in their floral works. I have studied many masters and techniques over the years and some of the most notable are Jan Davidsz de Heem, Balthasar van der Ast, Jan Davidz van Huysum, Gerard de Lairesse and Ambrosius Bosschaert. There are also many others but let’s take a look at these first.

An Australian First - Creative Block - Presented by Print Blocks

Last month the Print Blocks national distribution centre in Wacol, Queensland played host to more than 18 international guests and artists for the first ever Creative Block trade event. Kristy Evans, Editor of Scrapbooking Memories and Emily McQueen, Editor of Cardmkaing, Stamping & Papercraft were invited to attend this fantastic event and had an amazing time with all who attended. The event, the likes of which has never before been seen in the scrapbooking industry in Australia, ran over three days and consisted of classes from some of our favourite brands.
